California Wine Available at South Park Farmers Market Dancing Crow Vineyards + Lost Hog Winery

Every Saturday I head to the South Park Farmers Market after Yoga in the Park. Both make for a wonderful start to my weekend. While the Farmers Market is always a part of my Saturday morning, I was very excited by the addition of the Dancing Crow Vineyards from northern California to the list of vendors joining Lost Hog Winery selections. Every week I stop to buy my wine.

I am a fan of the Lost Hog Winery 2019 Zinfandel with flavors of huckleberry, mocha, and pomegranate, while my husband prefers the Dancing Crow Vineyard 2022 Chardonnay with hints of lemon and pear plus green apple and cantaloupe. Stop for a complimentary tasting and choose your favorite wine.

The two vineyards are under the guidance of Tony Cartlidge and Sarah Forni, along with sons Adam and Stefan. Dancing Crow Vineyards is located in Lake County, CA. They grow everything they sell. Dancing Crow is family-owned and operated for four generations. They specialize in sustainably grown, French-style wines.  “The unique combination of volcanic soil, high-elevation vineyards and mountain-grown fruit allows us to make a more delicate alternative to the traditionally bolder Napa Valley wines.” Their flagship variety is the Sauvignon Blanc, which I very much like as well. Dancing Crow had an award-winning record of 90+ point wines. Scott Kirkpatrick is the winemaker.

Lost Hog is another of their wineries in Northern California. “Our wines make their home among three separate Lake County areas: Big Valley, Kelsey Bench, and Red Hills. All of these sites offer a variety of ecological and topographical advantages for our vineyards. Diverse volcanic and sedimentary soils coupled with the benefits of a mountain climate create ideal conditions for producing delicious red and white wines.”

Dancing Crow has a Wine Club. You can choose six- or 12-bottle shipments three times a year. Choose all white, all red, or their Winemaker’s Selection. As a Wine Club member, you receive a 15% discount on any amount of wine purchased at the Farmers Market.

My advice – try it; you will like it!!!
