Lagree213: “It’s Not Pilates, It’s Lagree!”

In a sea of fitness studios, Lagree213 has the edge of being the exclusive Lagree method platform in DTLA. Their slogan speaks for itself: “It’s Not Pilates, It’s Lagree!”. Formerly 'Pilates Plus DTLA,’ Ben Bass and partner Lisa acquired the business in 2019 and rebranded to center around the Lagree method. Lagree differs from Pilates because instead of only focusing on a restorative, muscle-lengthening approach, you also get a high-intensity/low-impact cardio workout.

Ben and Lisa relaunched as Lagree213 in 2020 but shortly after, COVID hit, and they closed. As restrictions eased, a space at Level Hotel + Suites became available (835 S. Hill). During the pandemic, Lagree213 was 1 of only 2 fitness studios in LA that offered outdoor classes. With growing clientele, Ben and Lisa opened a 2nd location at One Santa Fe (300 S. Santa Fe), and now Lagree213 is adding another space in South Park at Hope+Flower (1201 S. Hope)!

“We don’t want to be a business that comes in like a corporate franchise - we want to be part of the community and interact with our clients to help them on their fitness journey,” Ben said. They value being present at their studios to build relationships with the community. Lagree213’s South Park location at Hope+Flower will be “more elevated” than the other studios because they are installing state-of-the-art Megaformers machines that only 1 other studio in the world has! The South Park location will be a desired destination for Lagree lovers everywhere.

But why wait? Until the grand opening in the 2nd quarter of this year, daily classes at their Historic Core and Arts District studios are available to start your Lagree213 journey now!
