More About “A Taste of South Park” on Saturday, September 23

This year, South Park Neighborhood Association (SPNA) will host “A Taste of South Park” for the first time as an event open to all South Park residents and businesses.  This is an expansion of a block party that was organized in the past by and for four South Park residential buildings (Elleven, Luma, Evo, and 1050). The event will feature South Park restaurants, bars, live music, and other businesses representing our South Park neighborhood.

”A Taste of South Park” will take place in AEG’s parking lot on the northwest corner of 11thStreet and Grand Avenue (across from Starbucks) from 1-6 pm on Saturday, September 23. The Belasco will be providing quality audio system, an entertainment stage for live music, and a DJ. SPNA is auditioning local musicians to showcase their talents. Tents will be installed for food/drink vendors as well as other businesses to showcase their wares.

A few local establishments that have committed to participate include: The Capital Grille, Arashi Sushi, Pine and Crane, First Draft Taproom & Kitchen, HiDef Brewing, Pizza Sociale, Aladdin Coffee Shop, El Patroncito, South Park Pharmacy and Market, Bo Daddy’s BBQ, South Park BID, South Park Neighbor Association, The Belasco, and LaGree213.

Admission to “A Taste of South Park” will be free for everyone with limited food and drinks available only to those who pre-register.

SPNA is seeking volunteers to assist during the day of the event. Besides getting a very cool “A Taste of South Park” T-shirt, you will be helping your neighbors. If available, please reply to spnadtla@gmail.com.

Updates to the event will be forthcoming.  In the meantime, to stay up to date visit www.spna-dtla.org.
