MyLA311 Service Benefits Residents

The Dial 311 program is offered by the City of LA with the express mission of helping LA citizens connect directly with LA City Services.  Use of the MyLA311 program is beneficial in getting action on those frustrating issues of living in a city and can be an effective problem solver.

Examples of problems that can be solved by contacting MyLA311 include requesting:

*Graffiti removal

 *Removal of trash or illegal dumping of items on city streets or property

 *Bulky items pick-up

 *Streetlight or city sidewalk problems

 *Illegal parking enforcement    

 *Animal Services

 *Public safety issues

 *And just about any other general city government service.

·      Or download the MyLA311App which can be found in the Apple App Store or the Google App Store.

 

I have found the MyLA311 App to be extremely easy to use and, it’s always right at hand. When you access the App, you are immediately given the choice to:

·      Create A Service Request where you have a laundry list of services/requests available as well as a descriptive area where you can ask for services not listed. 

·      You will then find an information page where you can give the location of your requested action, details of what’s needed to be done, photos of the problem, and your comments. 

Response time to submitted requests can be very quick or in other cases rather leisurely depending on the nature of the request.

This service is at least a source for solutions to many of the things that cause frustration for city dwellers.   Try MyLA311 the next time you say to yourself 

“I wish I knew someone who could take care of this”.
