33 Taps: A Look at South Park’s Newest Sports Bar
Didn’t get to score those court-side tickets you wanted? Luckily, you’re in the right neighborhood! Being right around the corner from the Staples Center (we refuse to conform to ‘Crypto.com Arena’), South Park has no shortage of sports bars. The newest addition to the assortment is 33 Taps. Located on the street-level of The Moxy & AC Hotel directly across from the L.A. Convention Center, 33 Tapsprovides a classic sports bar environment including your favorite bar food and dozens of 75-inch televisions lining the walls. Imagine the seamless So-Fi Stadium wrap-around screen but indoors - so you can be absolutely sure that you’ll catch every game imaginable!
To go along with the minimalistic-modern vibe, the experience is 100% self-service. Walk in, seat yourself, order from your phone via a QR code menu, and a server will deliver your order. This takes out the hassle of splitting the bill with 6 cards based on the “Who got what, again?” system, but it also means that servers won’t periodically check in with your table. Ran out of ranch? You’ll have to pay for another side through your tab on your phone.
Expect game day to be hyped with a surprising level of movie theater quality surround sound + bass. On a non-game day, you’ll have a low-key night more suitable for conversation. Special to their DTLA location, 33 Taps’ Arcade Room is located next door and features your favorite arcade games, open Friday and Saturday from 6 pm – 1 am.
We recommend checking out Happy Hour from Monday-Friday 3 PM-7 PM and Every Day 9:30 PM - Close for $9 select food items, $7 liquor, $8 select cocktails/wines, and $5 pints. Fan favorites are the Banh Mi Fries, Crispy Chicken Sandwich, and classic Buffalo Chicken or Cauliflower Wings. Whether you’re looking to host all your sports fanatic friends for the Big Game, or simply to try out a new spot, 33 Taps is well worth a visit!
