To Help YOU with Your Vote, DLANC Candidate Information for South Park Seats
The Downtown Los Angeles Neighborhood Council (DLANC) election deadline is April 22. But prior to that, you must register to vote for this specific election. Being a registered voter does not work for this election. Once you are registered, you will receive a ballot in the mail. South Park has three resident positions and two business positions open.

DLANC South Park Candidate Information – Resident Positions
Noreen Ahmed, resident near LA Convention Center
Currently - Intensive Case Manager working with families who have experienced homelessness; designing apprenticeships programs for leaders with lived experience; recently elected to DLANC (volunteer position)
Past employment - served as co-chair for homelessness and budget committees when on North Westwood Neighborhood Council as UCLA public policy graduate student (volunteer position); former AmeriCorps and Peace Corps member

Dennis Fried, resident near Grand and 11th
Currently - Twenty-five-year career as business transactional attorney, now retired. Sub-specialization in real estate transactions for brokers, developers, and homebuyers including purchases, exchanges, development and financing. Board member of DTLA residential high-rise HOA for 18 years.
Past employment - Previously licensed Real Estate agent. Operational and financial roles in two Fortune 500 corporations (LVMH Moet Hennessy Louis Vuitton and Jim Beam Brands). Extensive experience in import, customs duties, logistics, transportation, purchasing and pricing. Career has included retail, wholesale and manufacturing operations.
Elis Lee, resident in South Park
Currently: City of Los Angeles, Office of the City Administrative Office but also has been with various city departments including the Economic and Workforce Development Department, LADWP, Public Works, and LAPD.
Past Employment: Various government entities including NATO and the South Korean federal government.
Amy Mac, resident near Olympic and Flower
Currently: Human Resources at Actors’ Equity Association - advocacy, conflict resolution, and community engagement; working with diverse groups, addressing workplace concerns, and promoting fair practices.
