  The policies/laws shaped by elected officials affect YOUR life. This is your #1 reason to vote!

Laws and policies at every level of government affect your daily life. Who represents you in making those laws and policies will affect you.

Your vote allows you a say in who represents you. You may not like either candidate, but one candidate will still be elected and will influence your life. Choosing the best person to represent you is better than not choosing at all.

What matters most to you? What would make your life better? Your neighborhood better? Over the next four months, there will be opportunities to meet and hear from candidates. We will cover local races in this newsletter, provide you information, and share other sources with voter information.

 

July Actions for Your To-Do List:

1.    Determine whether you are registered to vote in California.

2.    Verify you are registered at your current address so you will receive your mailed ballot and can vote on who represents you.

3.    If you are not sure if you are registered or need to update your address – click https://registertovote.ca.gov/ to register or change address.

4.    Mark your calendar to attend neighborhood candidate events. Two scheduled events are:

September 19 from 6-8 pm at First Draft on Pico at Olive to meet state representative candidates (representing South Park) – Efren Martinez and Sade Elhawary.

October 17 from 6-8 pm at a location to be announced to meet the CD14 candidates who will represent South Park. Ysabel Jurado and Kevin de Leon.
