bellaTec: This One’s for the Ladies

A gorgeous new gym that helps women build strength and confidence in a safe environment is close by in South Park on Hope between 11th and 12th Streets.

Founded by Bella Riazzo and opened in October 2023, Bella wanted to create a space where women feel comfortable working out, away from unwanted gazes and the pressure that often comes with being in a co-ed gym. bellaTec is a gym for women. They offer 15 different group classes that include yoga, HIIT, Pilates, barre, and various dance classes, including afternoon dance for young girls. The diverse schedule targets all the various goals we ladies aim to improve at the gym in a group class setting, so all we have to do is show up and listen to our trainer. They even host regular events for members to meet, forming a bridge between the fitness and social space.

Prior to meeting owner Bella, I joined the Booty Bootcamp class with Rea. It was a 45-minute class that incorporated light and medium weights, booty bands, a ball, and the barre, and as advertised, kicked my buns into shape! The class finished with about 10 minutes of ab workouts where I sensed the camaraderie in the room as we shared glances championing each other to not give up. It was a well-rounded class that I’ll absolutely be joining again.

Bella comes from a background of personal training and always had the goal of owning her own gym. Initially she was a personal trainer at private gyms, then made her way into the online space, after which she created a niche for herself training brides-to-be. She was featured on bridal websites and has her own YouTube channel. When the pandemic hit, she was already well established online. She chose South Park for her brick and mortar because the high rises make it walking distance for many residents and the neighborhood is rapidly growing.

bellaTec has three membership tiers to suit various commitment levels. If you’re looking to invest in yourself in 2024, the elite membership includes nutrition classes, weigh-ins and photos, accountability and several more included perks, such as members only events held regularly, the most recent being a Galentine’s paint and sip.

You can book your first introductory class for free at bellatec.com.
