High Energy on a Windy Sunday Afternoon

SPNA (South Park Neighborhood Association) hosted its first Wellness Fair in Wishbone Park on Sunday, Jan 29. Companies representing fitness, nutrition, and wellness for South Park residents included The Sauna Labs, Orangetheory, 9Round Boxing, MedBeauty L.A., DTLA Fitness, Robeks Fresh Juices & Smoothies, F45 Fitness, GreenQween, Nutrishop, and Hardcore Fitness.

There was plenty of positive energy among the vendors. The residents that withstood the cold and wind were treated to boxing exhibitions, freshly produced juices, energy drinks, fitness classes, kick boxing exhibitions, BMI analysis, rowing competitions, and more.

Raffles provided special prizes for participants:  a deep hydration facial was supplied by MedBeauty L.A., 9 Round Boxing gave away boxing gloves, Lagree 213 contributed client packages, and South Park resident Aileen won a one-month membership, core heart rate monitor, and seven guest passes valued at $500 from Orangetheory.

The vendors were encouraged, and the general sense was to do this again in early or end of summer when the weather will be better.

One neighbor at the Wellness Fair, Joey Gore, who was enthused about the event, said, "the entire fair was rad; the highlight for me was putting on the boxing gloves and sparring with the guys from 9Round."
