New Name for SPNA Newsletter,Dustin Lang Wins the Contest

         The South Park Neighborhood Newsletter is over 3+ years old. It needed an official name. At the 3rd Annual Neighborhood Night Out at the end of July, we had a naming contest. With 20+ names suggested, South Park Scene was the winner, and the person who submitted the name was also a winner. Dustin Lang won a $100 gift certificate to a neighborhood restaurant of his choosing. He chose Capital Grille!

         Let’s meet Dustin!

(1) Why did you choose South Park Scene as the name for the SPNA newsletter?

When I think about the SPNA newsletter, I always get a snapshot of different occurrences. These range from new business launches to real estate developments to fun events, but all of them stem back to the place where it all happens. In other words, they paint a fuller picture of South Park as a scene. Thus, the name!

(2) How long have you lived in South Park?

Since I married my beautiful wife in 2017 :)

(3) Have you attended other SPNA events?

Yes, I have been to A Taste of South Park and the neighborhood night out event. These connect our community together and reveal the beauty that is right in front of our eyes each day. Loved both of them!

(4) Any thoughts you have about South Park, please share.

When I think about our area, I see so much opportunity. It’s beautiful, close to major entertainment hubs, and at the heart of LA. There is still much work to do but believing that the best is yet to come if we band together for our beloved neighborhood!
