Race for the Rescues Happening Saturday, November 19, 2022

Among the most visible organizations at last Sunday’s SPNA Howl-O-Ween Dog Parade was Race for the Rescues, an animal welfare organization that sponsors the annual Race for the Rescues in Los Angeles and Orange County.  Race for the Rescues is a day when animal lovers of all ages run, walk, or adopt – to help save the lives of homeless dogs, cats, rabbits, horses and farm animals in Southern California.  This is a fundraiser where 100% of the net proceed go to local animal welfare organizations.  This year’s race is a virtual event. You can run a 5K, ride your bike, take a walk in the mountains, or what have you - with or without your dog , to help support the benefiting organizations.

If you want to participate, it is recommend you contact your family members and friends to raise pledges for your participation in the race because this is how the most funds will be raised for animals in need.  However, pledges are not mandatory for your participation.  All money raised will go to help homeless dogs, cats, horses and farm animals of Southern California.  By joining your favorite benefitting 501(c)3 nonprofit team (found on the “Who Benefits” page on the race site) your pledges will be ear marked for that particular organization.  General donations go to the hosting nonprofit, The Rescue Train.
