Reason #4 – Why YOU should vote? It is your right and your responsibility.

Voting in the US is a right – an entitlement that you have, a legal claim, a constitutional proclamation. You have the right to free speech, right to a fair trial, right to pursue life, liberty, happiness, and the right to vote.

With all rights comes responsibilities. The responsibility to protect your rights and the rights of others. In a democracy, we do that by voting. A democracy is government by the people – the power is vested in the people – the majority of people – and that happens when you vote.

For us to keep our rights and freedoms, we need to participate, to use our voices, and to vote. Don’t forget to vote – early voting, mail ballot voting, voting on Election Day – but VOTE. For more information on voting in the November election, see related article in this newsletter.
