Tastes, Bites, Drinks, and More. South Park Neighbors Share an Incredible Afternoon

A Taste of South Park on Sept 23rd is best captured in the images on these pages. During the five-hour event, more than 800 people attended. Most live or work in South Park. Each person has their own story. For me it was about individuals stepping out of their daily routine and for one day coming together for a very happy, memorable, and beautiful day in the neighborhood.

My personal visuals include Luc and Juan from EVO in their A Taste of South Park t-shirts working the check-in table, Julie from Elleven clearing high top tables, Mia from Arashi serving delicious sushi, Abrey from Flower Street Lofts laughing with her friends, Nolan from SPBID with his family enjoying ice cream, Woo Sung from Aven waiting patiently in the Sol Agave food/drink line, Macharia from G12 listening to the live music, Susan from Dignity Health beaming her radiance, Brian from Grand Lofts being inquisitive, Audrey from Met Lofts looking amazed, Beth from a DTLA law firm reminiscing about happy times spent in her friendly NY community, and Michael of Compass Realty being the MC extraordinaire.

I enjoyed engaging with USC Graduate School students Bowen, Janelle, and Oscar, talking with Wayne, a New Elleven board member, seeing the beautiful, nine-month-old Isabella attending her first South Park event, Rob from Chase Bank sipping a sugary rimmed Margarita from Sonoritas, Wilfredo from Aven watching John on the pottery wheel, First Draft owner Kevin, who flew in to help serve meaty sliders, Brian and Sheridan from Action Life commenting about how ATOSP has evolved, Kerri from DTLA Weekly talking with everyone, Nycole from E on 12  partying, Raven from Hope and Flower who was happy to support the neighborhood, Anita who was super excited to win the $850-valued treatment from MedBeautyLA, Yanni from Atelier who spent a treasured day with his young son, John from Ten50 garnishing tremendous support for his “SuperBlock” initiative, Ricardo from Bossa Nova who was blown away by the steady flow of people, Danielle from Belasco who was happy with how well the event turned out, DeAnna from Broadway Palace enjoying everything, and the SPNA organizer Debra who was of course working diligently throughout the event.

It was a beautiful day in the neighborhood. A neighborhood with people who care and support their neighbors and who help make this South Park neighborhood special!
