Fewer Outdoor Al Fresco Spaces Due to a New City Ordinance

Two Residential Towers at 11th and Olive Moving Forward
A pair of apartment towers at 11th Street and Olive Ave are proceeding with final planning as recently reported in Urbanize Los Angeles. Mack Real Estate Development, developer of Aven Towers on South Grand Ave., is the developer. The projects, which would rise from two existing parking lots, will add more than 1,200 living units to the South Park neighborhood.
New SP Business Representative Appointed to the Downtown LA Neighborhood Council
Ben Lagree, co-owner of Lagree231, was recently appointed as a South Park Business representative on the Downtown Los Angeles Neighborhood Council (DLANC). Ben, and his wife Lisa, are opening their 3rd Lagree213 in the downtown area at 1201 S. Hope on the first floor of Hope and Flower. They also have a studio in the Historic Core and Arts District neighborhoods.

Arson Suspected in Fire of Danny’s Taco Truck on Grand
My wife and I were arriving back to our home in South Park on Tuesday, April 9, about 11:30 pm, when we found Grand Ave, between Olympic and 11th St closed due to fire trucks blocking the road. We subsequently found out that Danny’s Taco Truck was on fire.
